1. Agreement to terms

By downloading, accessing, or using Glo, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

These terms should be read alongside our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle your data.

2. What Glo is (and isn't)

Glo is an AI-powered skincare coaching app that provides personalised routine suggestions, product guidance, skin tracking tools, and an AI chat feature ("Ask Glo").

You should never delay seeking medical advice, disregard medical advice, or stop medical treatment because of something you read or received through Glo.

3. Who can use Glo

You must be at least 16 years old to use Glo. By using the app, you confirm that you meet this age requirement. The app includes an age verification step during onboarding and will block access if you are under 16.

If you are between 16 and 18, you confirm that you have reviewed these terms and that your parent or guardian is aware of and consents to your use of the app.

4. Your account & data

Glo does not require you to create a traditional account with a username and password. Your skin profile, routines, check-ins, and other personal data are stored locally on your device.

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your device. If you delete the app or clear its data, your information will be permanently lost — we cannot recover it as we do not store it on our servers.

5. Subscriptions & billing

Glo offers premium features through a paid subscription, available at £9.99 per month or £99.99 per year. Subscriptions are billed through Apple's App Store and are subject to Apple's terms and conditions for in-app purchases.

• Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
• Your subscription automatically renews unless you turn off auto-renewal at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
• You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple ID settings (Settings → your name → Subscriptions).
• Refunds are handled by Apple in accordance with their refund policy. We are unable to process refunds directly.

We reserve the right to change subscription pricing. Any price changes will apply to the next billing cycle after notice is given, and you will have the opportunity to cancel before the new price takes effect.

6. Acceptable use

When using Glo, you agree not to:

• Use the app for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws or regulations.
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the app's systems, servers, or the AI service.
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the app.
• Use the AI chat feature to generate harmful, abusive, discriminatory, or illegal content.
• Misrepresent Glo's AI-generated advice as professional medical advice to others.
• Use the app for any commercial purpose without our prior written consent.
• Interfere with or disrupt the app's functionality or the experience of other users.

We reserve the right to restrict or terminate access to the app if we reasonably believe you are violating these terms.

7. AI-powered features

Glo uses artificial intelligence (provided by a third-party AI service) to generate personalised skincare advice, routines, and chat responses. You should be aware that:

• AI is not perfect. Responses are generated based on patterns in training data and the information you provide. They may occasionally be inaccurate, incomplete, or unsuitable for your specific situation.
• AI output is not professional advice. Nothing generated by the AI should be treated as medical, dermatological, or other professional advice.
• Your data is used for personalisation. To give you relevant advice, the AI may process your skin profile, check-in history, product information, and other data you've provided. See our Privacy Policy for full details on how this works.
• We don't guarantee availability. AI features depend on third-party services and may be temporarily unavailable due to outages, maintenance, or other factors outside our control.

8. Intellectual property

All content, design, branding, code, and other materials in Glo (excluding user-generated content) are owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the app without our prior written consent.

Any content you create within the app (such as chat messages, check-in notes, or product reviews) remains yours. By using the AI chat feature, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to process your inputs solely for the purpose of generating AI responses — we do not claim ownership of your content.

9. Third-party services & links

Glo relies on third-party services to function, including:

• Anthropic — provides the AI that powers "Ask Glo" and routine generation.
• Cloudflare — hosts the secure proxy that handles AI requests.
• Apple App Store — handles subscription billing and payments.

The app may also contain links to third-party websites (such as Amazon for product searches). We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or availability of any third-party services or websites. Your use of third-party services is subject to their own terms and policies.

10. Disclaimers

Glo is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that:

• The app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free from viruses or other harmful components.
• AI-generated content will be accurate, complete, or suitable for your needs.
• Any particular skincare result or improvement will occur from using the app.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any rights you have under UK consumer protection law that cannot be excluded or limited by contract.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law:

• We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use Glo.
• We shall not be liable for any loss or damage arising from your reliance on AI-generated content, product recommendations, or skincare advice provided through the app.
• Our total aggregate liability to you for any claims arising from or related to these terms or the app shall not exceed the amount you have paid us in subscription fees in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under English law.

12. Termination

You can stop using Glo at any time by deleting the app from your device. If you have an active subscription, remember to cancel it through your Apple ID settings to avoid further charges.

We may suspend or terminate your access to the app at any time if we reasonably believe you have violated these terms, without prior notice and without liability to you. Upon termination, your right to use the app ceases immediately.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will notify you through the app. The "last updated" date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent version.

Continued use of Glo after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. If you do not agree with any changes, you should stop using the app.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from or in connection with these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

If any provision of these terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
